FLOW: Retain / Release
This exhibition of work created by participants of the Indianapolis
Art Center’s SMART program Supportive Mentoring through ART (SMART), a partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana. Students ages 12-18 and their mentors learned from Ohio artist Judy Dominic (www.judydominic.com) and biologist Megan Shoda about the effects of flooding and related these concepts metaphorically to their own lives. The workshop also included a rafting trip on the White River, guided by Friends of the White
River. The resulting artwork is a mixed-media installation. Community Gallery.
